What I do

Exploring the space between engineering and design, my work is about problem solving, invention and prototype development. I like to be involved in the entire production process from start to finish. Much of the design process is invisible, yet integral to production.

Usually my motivation is the desire for a product which doesn’t exist to buy, causing me to modify designs or invent a new one.

My eclectic design taste, and passion for broadening horizons means the business is not constrained to a particular design area, giving a wide range of products and applications.

Whether it’s working with wood, metal, or plastic, I aim to produce the highest quality work by using precision machines from traditional to CNC, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Edit design welcomes product, furniture and problem solving commisions for all scales of production.

Edit Design is also available for graphics commissions.

Mosi Chandelier

A Giant interactive chandelier for the 2010 Revolutions exhibition at the Museum of science and Industry in Manchester.

This project was part of an entire refit run by 24 Design based in Manchester.

I was in charge of this part of the project, responsible for the engineering, design logistics and manufacture of the piece. It was a large undertaking, with the sculpture spanning 3 floors of the building, being 8 metres tall, floating 10.5 metres above the floor. Weighing in at 2 tonnes, and supporting 24 very large flat screen TV’s
